International Plant Protection Convention

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) is the only intergovernmental treaty that aims to protect the world’s plants, agricultural products and natural resources from invasive pests. Ratified by 184 countries, the IPPC promotes the application of International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) as the main set of tools to safeguard global food security, protect the environment and facilitate safe trade.
